The Social Convergence deputy, Gael Yeomans, referred to the indications that the Government entered and that seek to partially alleviate the crisis of the isapres, especially after the ruling of the Supreme Court that annuls the increases in the GES premium. Among these measures was advancing the increase in the Health Cost Indicator.

Let us remember that this initiative did not find a good reception among pro-government parliamentarians, who asked to separate waters and process this measure separately for insurers.

In conversation with Al Pan Pan with Mirna Schindler, the parliamentarian said that these measures are not considered a “rescue” by the Executive, since she considers other things, such as mutualization, as “rescue”.

“Rescue were other measures. I don't consider this one that way. Besides, we still have their procedure, we still have a conversation ahead of us,” she said.

“I do see a problem in generating aid, if we want to put it in those terms, aid to cover his expenses by advancing a readjustment that was going to happen anyway, that is the issue. That's why I don't consider it that way, I don't consider it to the same degree as mutualization. That does seem to me like it was a rescue,” she added.

 

 

“Obviously, we view these types of discussions with distrust when all the aspects and elements regarding a health reform are not comprehensively agreed upon, because that is what we are talking about. When we are going to generate this incentive, let's put it in those terms, in order to resolve the economic problem of institutions that have failed to comply with a ruling, I want to know what the reaction of these institutions is going to be and what the reaction of the opposition parliamentarians is going to be. moment, for example, of having to strengthen Fonasa, which seems to us to be a priority, understanding the number of affiliates that there are not only now, but even, as a result of this same debate, of how the system is being viewed of health in the future, may also lead to, because until now, that political sector, at least in Congress, has not been willing to generate sufficient resources to make this viable," he added.

“Secondly, also, when we discussed the budget law, the necessary emphasis was not placed on strengthening this institution, but rather on other discussions, that is, on how the debt to the private sector is paid, which Okay, that is part of the obligations that perhaps the State should have, and the Isapres too, by the way, because they have debts with the private clinics, but where are the emphasis, where is the willingness to build agreements?.
