The problem has been such that MSI has been forced to act (and we have to say, personally, that MSI is a manufacturer that tends to dodge the problem when its products cause problems, at least in Spain) and is offering customers users who have located the problems the choice of either getting a replacement of the product or even a refund of their money.

The problem with MSI MEG Coreliquid E liquid cooling
The affected products are specifically the MSI MAG Coreliquid E240 with a 240 mm radiator and its older brother, the MSI MAG Coreliquid E360 with a 360 mm radiator, including the black and white variants. It must be said that this line of products came on the market at the beginning of this year, and it seems that it has not been until now that many users are encountering problems.

It has been MSI Japan who has alerted us to the problem, which apparently concerns a defective batch of this liquid cooling.

 

 

They have not given too many details, but in the press release they have sent they state that "when some pumps operate in a range between 1,600 and 1,800 RPM, the internal rotor rubs against the cavity", and this causes not only an unpleasant noise, But since there are two pieces rubbing together, wear occurs that could lead to catastrophic failure of the pump.

What is a little strange is that it was MSI Japan that made the press release and not MSI in general, since this liquid cooling is sold all over the world and not just on the Asian island. This makes us think that perhaps the defective batches have only been sold in Japan, since no other MSI branch has issued this press release, but the truth is that it would be quite strange if they had the problem so highly focused, right?

The fact is that if you have an MSI MAG Coreliquid E Series liquid cooling and you start to notice that the pump is making strange noises, we urge you to immediately process your warranty, lest you have one of these defective batches and the problems will continue. further.

By the way, this is not the first time that MSI has had to come to the fore regarding its liquid cooling systems. Already last year the company had to recall some MAG Coreliquid R Series models with problems, and as is happening with this E series, in the end they offered customers the option of exchanging the device for a new one or obtaining a refund. .
