[X]pErT-
Microsoft has added a new feature to Notepad with the latest update of this service for Windows 11, which introduces a character counter at the bottom of the application interface to know the exact length of the document. Currently, this service only has indicators that indicate which line of text the user is on, as well as the column occupied by the one that has been previously entered or is currently selected. If they want to know the number of characters in the document, users have until now had to use alternative tools such as Notepad2 or Notepad++, as BleepingComputer reminds. However, version 11.2311.29.0 of this text tool, which has reached Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels, introduces a tool that allows you to count characters in Notepad. This was shared by the firm on its blog, where it noted that when a part of the text is selected, the number of selected characters is displayed along with the character count of the entire document, "which ensures that you always have a clear view of the length of the document ", he clarified. This improvement also adds a shortcut to access Notepad to modify files directly from File Explorer , which must be accessed by right-clicking the mouse. This is not the only novelty that the company has introduced in Notepad in recent months, since at the beginning of this year it announced the ability to create several tabs, which are organized in a single window of this service.. https://www.europapress.es/portaltic/software/noticia-microsoft-incorpora-herramienta-recuento-caracteres-bloc-notas-20231211150920.html
