Dean Ambrose™
Quite recently, Sony announced the official launch of a reduced-size version of its PlayStation 5 console, known to everyone as PS5 Slim although it does not have that official name. Today you can buy this smaller version, but the people at Not From Concentrate wanted to take the colors out of Sony and have created a much smaller Mini PS5 that also has some interesting features that the original model lacks. We show it to you below. It seems that the 30% reduction in the volume of the Sony PS5 was not enough, so they have set to work to try to reduce the size and weight of the console as much as possible... so much so that perhaps Sony engineers should rethink how they do things, because if a person in their home has been able to create this wonder... it is worth making them look at it. The Mini PS5 or Tiny PlayStation 5 The idea of this homemade project is to maintain the performance and features of the original PS5, but reducing its size as much as possible. To do this, they have customized practically everything, from the outer casing (of course) to its cooling system, and they have added some pretty cool things, such as the fact that the support that keeps it vertical also serves to charge the controls, or that Its storage has also been expanded. Of course, unfortunately not all are advantages, and there are also some drawbacks. For example, although the cooling system proves to be more than sufficient, it is also a little worse in terms of performance, and the Mini PS5 gets a little hotter than the original model (1 degree hotter at rest and 4 degrees hotter while playing, which is also not It's so much and it doesn't put the console at risk). On the other hand, and as you can see in the video and images, the console does not have a disc reader natively, but you can add an external reader and it works perfectly... of course, by doing that the total size of the set is much larger. On the other hand, as we explained previously, adding the external disk reader requires having the console connected to the Internet to "link" it, and one thing that they have not yet resolved in this personalized variant is that if the console is reset to the values From the factory you have to register it again (although it's not like we are resetting the console every day). Really, this is still a curiosity of what can be done, but it shows without a doubt that Sony could have done much better than it has done. After all, the Japanese giant has a large and experienced team of design engineers, and this Mini PS5 has been created by a single person in his house. The size and weight of the original PS5 has always been in question, because it is honestly such a large console that it generally does not "fit" on the TV cabinet in many people's living rooms, forcing users to look for alternatives. This Slim revision that they recently released improves things a lot by reducing the volume by 30%, but it is still a large and heavy console, especially if we compare it with this Mini version that has the same operation and better features... https://hardzone.es/noticias/equipos/mini-ps5-consola/
