The PC case is as important an element as any other hardware component. A good choice can help us achieve better cooling of the PC components, as well as lower noise when the computer is running. In this regard, be quiet! It is always a guarantee of sure success. And, if we are looking for something sober, silent and modular, the new Dark Base 701 is a tower that will undoubtedly captivate you. In this article we show you our first-hand analysis of this new PC case from the German manufacturer.

In the summer of this year we already had the opportunity to test the Dark Base Pro 901, the highest-end tower from this manufacturer. However, it was not a tower that was affordable for everyone. Therefore, today we bring you this new model, the little sister of that Dark Base Pro 901, which brings us state-of-the-art features, and the best materials on the market, much more adapted to all budgets.

The Dark Base series by be quiet! focuses on offering users towers of the highest quality, prioritizing sound and thermal performance, as well as ease of assembly and customization options, over other aspects such as, for example, RGB lighting. For this reason, this tower comes standard with three 140mm Silent Wings 4 fans controlled by PWM. These fans do not have lighting, but they offer exceptional performance, along with very low noise to ensure, above all, the silent operation of the PC.

The tower design is open mesh type. This sacrifices a little loudness (compared to its previous model, the Dark Base 700) to offer better airflow to improve ventilation of all internal components. It also has a PWM fan controller, which we can control from the motherboard itself.

Although it is not its priority, this tower also has RGB lighting, specifically on the front of it. We can control this lighting through an A-RGB port on the motherboard, as well as through the button on the front of the tower.

On one of the sides we have a tempered glass window, which will allow us to always have the inside of the computer in view. In addition, the two sides can be disassembled in seconds without the need for a screwdriver (as they have hand screws) to be able to open the tower if necessary.
