The Turkish team has received good additions in the first instances of the tournament. However, there are pieces with Major League experience that can hardly wear the Turkish clothing in the current course. But there are always exceptions, such as Francisco Alvarez, catcher for the New York Mets. 

 

 

"I have friends there (Mets), hopefully they will give him permission even if it is to play as a designated hitter and he can help us in December," Cairo said about the possibility of getting the endorsement of the Metropolitans to have Francisco in Magallanes. "We have to keep our fingers crossed that they give us that permission," he blurted. 

 

That way, the young careta, who has shown great skills in the Majors, has some kind of possibility to dress as a Magallanero in the season that is taking place. 

 

In 2023, Álvarez recorded 80 hits, 25 homers, 63 runs batted in, 51 scored, 34 walks and 110 strikeouts suffered after 382 visits to the plate, his AVG resulted in a.209 with.721 in his OPS.
