In conversation with Al Pan Pan with Mirna Schindler, the lawyer expert in political and strategic negotiation, Francisco Pereira gambled on a result: “I believe that the Constitution is going to be approved. “Everyone thinks no, but I think so.” This, because unlike the previous failed process – in his opinion – there is only one controversial issue that divides the ruling party and the opposition: the right to life of the unborn.

The lawyer who is an expert in political and strategic negotiation addressed the work of the Expert Commission and the 600 observations on the text, including those that generate more friction between the ruling party and the opposition, led by the Republican Party.

In conversation with Al Pan Pan with Mirna Schindler, the professional gambled for a result: “I believe that the Constitution is going to be approved. “Everyone thinks no, but I think so.”

This is because unlike the previous failed process, there is only one controversial issue that divides the ruling party and the opposition: the right to life of the unborn. “In the previous constitutional process, the controversial issues were 38, there were 45, there were too many. Today the only controversial issue is this,” he explained.

In that sense, he says that apparently this issue was not resolved, because it would have already happened. And that's because Republicans are waiting for the issue to be exhausted.

“The question I would have is how the left that is in the Constitutional Council would come out and propose that this constitution be rejected if that issue is exhausted,” he said. Later he added that José Antonio Kast, Republican leader, is not going to want to change what the ruling party is asking for.

“The commission of experts also demonstrated it yesterday and it was not changed, it remains there. What I believe is that this issue
can be exhausted. What's happening? Let's not forget that this is voted on December 17, we are two months away, right?

A lot of water is going to pass under the bridge, and the sectors are going to go out to campaign to approve or reject,” he said.

“It gives me the impression that there is going to be a sector on the left that is not going to want it to be approved. And my question is, from political and communication terms, what is the offer they are going to make? Because when it won rejection the last time, it was very easy to install the idea of fear and danger because there were too many controversial things. My question is, What is going to be the flag of struggle of the left to promote rejection against this constitution? ”He said.

“I am clear about what the A Favor fighting flag is going to be. There are going to be several topics. It will be, for example, non-payment of contributions, ownership of pensions, more security, expelling illegals. All of these issues are electorally profitable. So, we are going to have, two months from now, the right giving that offer and the left saying, what? “He added.

The one on the left will be, as he said, only the risk of the three causes. “I want to see how it permeates the ordinary po[CENSORED]tion. In people who go to work every morning and are afraid to get on the bus. How is the left going to manage to establish that this is a constitution against women, given only this norm?”

“Because when they say that this is a constitution against women, the right is likely to come out and say that it is much better than the one we have now. There are logics of parity in the election of public positions. There are matters of equal pay in constitutional matters. That is, at constitutional level. So, what is the discussion going to be?
I think there are many people who say, and this has already been rejected. There is a lot of water missing that has to go under the bridge,” he concluded.
