[Auto] E 2023 Experience: Geely surprises with the presentation of the Geometry E

Experience E opened its doors on Wednesday the 11th of this week for the press and official guests of the exhibition. Since that moment, Geely has exhibited our much-loved Geometry C at its stand (the car we took to Pucón at the beginning of the year) in its full version and also in its new, more accessible GK version. But on the third day, one of those Geometries was replaced by a new model that wasn't on anyone's radar: the Geometry E.

The brand has several models approved in Chile that could be launched (or not) in the short term, including the Starray sedan, the small GX3 and the Okavango SUV that will be positioned above the Azkarra, but the Geometry E does not appear on that list.

The Geometry E is the third model in the family, after the Geometry C that we already know and the Geometry A sedan, although not as new as the Panda. The first Geometry models have been based on a previous Geely model and the Geometry E is no exception, since it is based on the GX3, a small urban crossover that is already sold in other markets such as Peru. Of course, hopefully the doors remain from the GX3: they look absolutely nothing alike.

 

 

Another no small fact is that the Geometry E, being based on the GX3, is also related to another electric car sold in Chile: the Maple 30X sold by Voltera.

Measuring 4 meters long and 2.48 meters between the axles, it is exactly a B-segment hatchback, which sports a striking front with LED lights that simulate a single strip and two front projectors with a fluorescent frame with round edges, a theme that is replicated inside. In the back we have two L-shaped lights with 3D housings.

The interior of the Geometry E is very minimalist and has very interesting details that separate it from the Geometry C. It has a very interesting selection of materials and textures in relief, plus a floating center console where the rotary gear selection control is housed. A panoramic panel integrates the instrument panel and the multimedia system, both 10.25".

Below, we have a lower console with two USB ports but it has a retractable coaster tray that is not very useful (if you are charging a phone, you can't use it).

The design of the vents, the speakers that protrude from the main board and some very futuristic indicator lights are striking.
