It was in February 2018 when it first arrived in early access for PC and Xbox One and, from that first moment, it became one of the most attractive releases on the video game scene: four players, cooperative and with such a frenetic development. which left its original graphic appearance practically an anecdote because of that overwhelming gameplay. Indeed, it is Deep Rock Galactic, that underground epic for four seasoned miners who have to extract the strangest resources possible while they are attacked by hordes and hordes of alien enemies who lived peacefully until they arrived. Surely you've tried it and you love it, although if that's not the case, you're taking too long, especially after the latest news coming from the studio that created it.

Franchise expands
What Ghost Ship Games has announced in the last few hours is not a continuation of this Deep Rock Galactic but rather a transformation, an evolution that will lead these characters to star in another type of game. Specifically, those responsible define this new Rogue Core – which will be the tagline of the name – as a roguelite shooter in which that cooperative spirit is maintained for four miners at a time.

Although it may seem the same as in the case of the first game, Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core will allow us to be part of expeditions that will carry out raids in procedurally generated scenarios, in such a way that each mission we carry out will be completely different since we will never see two maps equals.

 

 

And not only will this happen when we play, they will also be different in each of the interactions that this title carries out on any PC or console on the planet.

The goal of these raids will still be to collect special minerals, such as Expenite, and store them in the collecting robot that comes with us while we make our way to the vein and complete the objectives. The great contribution it will make is the amount of rewards, items and powers that we can collect so that our heroes have more and more power and skills.

When is Rogue Core coming out?
Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core is scheduled to be released next year, in 2024... although the range is too big to think that we have it close. In any case, Ghost Ship Games surely wants to repeat the formula it already started with Deep Rock Galactic by launching early access and, some time later, finishing it and putting it on sale definitively.

So if you want, we put ourselves in the worst possible scenario and get used to the idea that it will arrive at the end of next year.
