This is how the resolution was signed that prohibits the use of 14 groups of pesticides due to their high danger to people, animals and the environment, which translates into 151 commercial presentations. Along with this, new regulations were presented that encourage the use of pesticides based on natural extracts and the SAG Public-Private Advisory Commission was created that will seek to improve and modernize agrochemical regulations in our country. Guajardo, national director of the agency dependent on the Ministry of Agriculture - led by Minister Esteban Valenzuela - highlighted the announcement of the measures on National Environment Day, announcing the signing of the three resolutions. “It is an important day for agriculture, thinking about what our President Gabriel Boric asks of us, a more sustainable agriculture for a much greener country,” he explained. The announcement was made together with various unions and representatives of peasant groups who highlighted that the initiatives adopted by the SAG mark a before and after in terms of the work of use and authorization of agricultural pesticides in our country.
