Fiscal de Iquique pide orden de detención contra el “Niño” Guerrero, líder del Tren de Aragua

Iquique Prosecutor requests an arrest warrant against “Niño” Guerrero, leader of the Aragua Train
The investigation by the Regional Prosecutor's Office of Iquique and Tarapacá against the Aragua Train has already accumulated 40 detainees, including the “place bosses” of different cities in the country, who received instructions directly from the Tocorón prison, where it was “ Héctor” Niño Guerrero, whose whereabouts today are unknown.

In the midst of uncertainty about the whereabouts of the founder and maximum leader of the Aragua Train, Héctor “Niño” Guerrero, the Tarapacá Regional Prosecutor's Office requested this morning from the Pozo Almonte Guarantee Court an arrest warrant against him, which was accepted based on the arguments presented in the presentation of the prosecution body, which alluded to its responsibility in a series of crimes committed in Chile by the subjects under its command, which include homicides, robberies, kidnappings and human trafficking (among others). .

In this way, Chile became the first country in South America to issue an arrest warrant against “Niño” Guerrero, who is a fugitive from justice in Venezuela, with the aim of charging him with criminal charges in the event that he is arrested.

This was reported by Regional Prosecutor Raúl Arancibia, who has been carrying out the investigation against the Aragua Train throughout the country since 2021. “The investigation carried out during these two years with our Criminal Analysis Unit and Investigative Focus together with different brigades of the Investigative Police allows us to affirm that Héctor Guerrero Flores, top boss of the criminal organization Tren de Aragua, was aware of the operations criminal activities carried out by the cells of this organization and maintained direct connection with local leaders who are currently detained in our country or who were operating in Chile, which allowed us to request his judicial arrest warrant and, in the event that he is detained in our country, impute participation in the crimes committed by the members of the Aragua Train in national territory.”

The prosecutor added that, from 2021 to date, the TDA began its expansion in Chile by committing cross-border crimes such as migrant trafficking, to continue developing criminal activities in the rest of the country, such as robberies, extortions, threats. , kidnappings, drug trafficking, human trafficking and homicides, among others. “Our investigation, from the beginning, has focused on identifying those who make up the [CENSORED] group of the Aragua Train cells that have operated and are operating in Chile. This is how we were able to arrest several leaders of the organization in Chile, who reported criminal activities to the [CENSORED] department of the Aragua Train, represented by Héctor Guerrero, for the decision to commit crimes, the resolution of conflicts, determination of the amounts to be collected through the vaccines, as well as the destination of the profits obtained by the organization,” Arancibia explained.

To date, the investigation by the Tarapacá Prosecutor's Office already has 40 members of the Aragua Train detained and serving preventive detention. Among them are:

-Carlos González Vaca, alias “Estrella”, who acted as head of the international plaza, in charge of the Chilean-Bolivian border, and who reported directly to “Niño” Guerrero, whose personal escort he was. González, it must be remembered, was arrested in Quilpué, in March 2022, and is, today, the highest ranking member of the TDA imprisoned in Chile, to date.

-Harold Rangel Villa, alias “Harold Petare”, who served as plaza boss in Iquique, and his partner Anyeli Ramos Villegas, daughter of the leader of the Venezuelan criminal group “La Cota 905”, better known as “El Koki”, deceased in a confrontation with Venezuelan law enforcement forces. Originally from Caracas, “La Cota 905” is a band similar to the Tren de Aragua and, like it, expanded to the south of the continent. Today it is in a real war against the TDA in Lima, which has already left more than 45 fatalities.

It is worth mentioning that in the language of the Tren de Aragua, the “plaza bosses” are the people in charge of different branches of crimes and are divided territorially, as well. In this way, there are plaza bosses in cities and within those there are also plaza bosses for “women”, drugs, etc.

-Edward Nava Navarro, head of the plaza in Santiago and in charge of the distribution of TDA drugs in the Metropolitan Region, who was the right arm of Larry Alvarez Núñez (alias “Larry Changa”, one of the main leaders of the TDA who was in Chile between the years 2016 and 2022 and his whereabouts are unknown).
