FNX Magokiler
The presidential delegation of La Araucanía specifies that evacuation is mandatory for some families who live near the radius of the crater, calling on the po[CENSORED]tion to remain calm. The Municipality of Villarrica reported this Sunday the suspension of classes in eight establishments in its commune, due to the increase in activity in the Villarrica Volcano and which led the National Geology and Mining Service to raise an orange alert. In detail, the Municipality indicated that for this Monday there will be no activities at the Molco Alto School, Conquil School, Estadio School, Alihuén School, Epu Klei School and the Ayün Piuje, Perün Rayén and Sol del Futuro kindergartens and Nursery Room. Classes will be suspended "until we return to the Yellow alert." Likewise, this Monday all directors of educational establishments are summoned to a committee with the authorities to address measures in the event of a major emergency and reinforce the Volcanic Eruption protocol according to the Comprehensive School Safety Plan. In the event that Sernageomin raises the alert to Roja, "classes and activities will be suspended immediately for all establishments managed" by the Municipality. On the other hand, the Government provided a map of the area that would be affected by an eruption of the Villarrica volcano. According to the map, in the event of greater activity, towns such as Coñaripe, Pucón, Candelaria, Los Riscos, Moico, Los Cajones, Pucura and Traitraico would receive lava and lahars. Given the call for evacuation, the presidential delegate of the La Araucanía Region, José Montaval, stated that this is only mandatory for families who live near the crater. "The call is for tranquility, this does not mean that in the next few hours there will be an eruption, the orange alert may change to red. But the orange alert means that there is greater instability in the measurements," he said. "The first thing is to work together with the municipalities to request and provide them with all the collaboration, so that all these people and families can evacuate. We are going to see moment by moment the measures that are going to be taken, but the first is to take a tour of those sectors to request the evacuation of those families," he added. https://www.emol.com/noticias/Nacional/2023/09/25/1108042/villlarrica-suspende-clases-mapa-afectacion.html
