A new iteration of the ROG Zephyrus laptops from ASUS has reached our hands, and in this case it is a quite special one: it is the ROG Zephyrus G14 (2023 model), a laptop with reduced dimensions and weight but that provides excellent performance for all types of games and, as always, with its excellent HDR mini LED screen. Below, we put it to the test and tell you our impressions.

The ROG Zephyrus family of laptops from ASUS has always been characterized by providing eye-catching and innovative designs, while boasting unbeatable performance. This new iteration of the Zephyrus G14 is no exception, and as we will see below, it is a marvel of design and, at the same time, with more than decent technical specifications to be able to play any game. As you can see, for this 2023 version ASUS has decided to integrate an AMD processor, specifically a Ryzen 9 7940HS with 8 cores and 16 process threads at a maximum Boost speed of 5.2 GHz which, in principle, should have nothing to envy to the Intel processors to which this brand has accustomed us. In this case, it is accompanied by 32 GB of DDR5 RAM at 4,800 MHz, although it must be said that 16 GB are soldered on the board (the other 16 GB in a SO-DIMM module that we could change).

On the other hand, the specifications are completed with a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD and a 16 GB RTX 4090 as dedicated graphics, the most powerful for laptops at the moment, although you already know that this implies that it will have Optimus technology to save battery.

Of course, ASUS has reinstalled its best ROG Nebula display with Mini LED backlighting. The display has 500 nits of maximum brightness, supports Dolby Vision HDR, has WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution with 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and provides up to 165 Hz refresh rate with 3 ms standby time. answer.

Finally, it should be noted that as a laptop with a 14-inch screen it has a fairly concise and portable design, weighing just 1.7 kg. Also worth highlighting is that AniMe Matrix screen on the back that we have already seen on other laptops in the family, and which allows us to fully customize the aesthetic appearance of the device.
