[Animals] Malnourished and flea-infected dogs are discovered: Their owner was arrested

The three abused dogs were rescued after being found without food or water.

They are now in the hands of foundations for their recovery and subsequent adoption.

The Investigative Brigade of Crimes Against Public Health and the Environment (Bridesma) of the PDI arrested a subject in Melipilla for the animal abuse of three malnourished dogs infested with fleas and ticks.

According to the police institution, the man of about 20 years old and who was "the owner of three canines was arrested for the flagrant crime of animal abuse.

"Investigators discovered at the scene that the animals did not have water or food, so the owner responsible for the crime of animal abuse was arrested," he added.

The dogs, she explained, were rescued and now "are in foundations that work to recover them, and then give them to good-hearted adopters who want to be with them."

The accused, meanwhile, remained at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
