FNX Magokiler
We all expected to see the new VW Tiguan at the Munich Motor Show (IAA 2023) but the brand only showed it in its classic psychedelic packaging. Now, Volkswagen removes all the veils and we tell you the details of the new generation of the SUV for the C segment. New VW Tiguan: base, measurements Based on the VW Group's MQB Evo platform, the new Tiguan can offer all types of combustion and hybrid engines, but it also grows in size with: 4,550mm long 1,830mm wide 1,640 mm high 2,680 mm between axles Regarding the outgoing Tiguan (the conventional one, not the 7-seat AllSpace like the one sold in Chile) the new delivery of the SUV grows 32 mm in length and 5 mm in height, maintaining the same width and distance between the axles. The brand confirmed the long wheelbase version for markets such as the United States, which indicates that the Tiguan AllSpace will continue in this new generation. The suspensions continue to be McPherson at the front and multilink (four-link) at the rear, adding the DCC Pro adaptive damping system already released in the new Passat. Engines in the new VW Tiguan Regarding the mechanics, the biggest novelty is the disappearance of manual transmissions from the entire range. The range of engines will be made up of: 2.0 TDi of 150 and 190 Hp 2.0 TSi of 204 and 265 Hp eTSI MHEV of 130 and 150 Hp 1.5 TSi PHEV of 204 and 272 Hp The most powerful versions can be associated with 4Motion all-wheel drive. Regarding the plug-in hybrid mechanics (PHEV), it uses a double-clutch gearbox and a larger 19.7 kWh battery (vs. 10.6 kWh before) that allows up to 100 km of electric autonomy in the WLTP cycle.
