La Charrería is a source of pride and tradition of Mexican culture. His practice combines
horse riding with various forms of rodeo, equestrian activities and traditional forms of the
cattle raising.
In Mexico, Charrería is considered a sport
national par excellence since it was registered in the
National Sports Commission. It is done in "Canvases
Charros" which are facilities specially designed
for your practice together with a horse and rider
called "charro".
Brief history
of the
charreria
It has
roots in the states of Hidalgo and Jalisco,
becoming one of the Mexican traditions
