Moments of panic were experienced in one of the bullfights at the San Marcos Fair in Aguascalientes when a goring pierced the lung of the right-handed Arturo Macías, which is why he is in intensive care, as reported on his official social networks.

"He suffered a penetrating injury to the chest at the right subaxillary level in the posterior axillary line due to a bull's horn, right pneumothorax secondary to a right lung contusion," reads the medical report of the Monumental Bullring in Aguascalientes.

The bullfighter was gored by his first bull over the weekend, and although he left the ring on his own foot to be examined, El Cejas, as he is also known, had to be taken to a hospital to undergo surgery due to a "wound to right subaxillary level of 8 centimeters in length and three centimeters in width that involves three paths, the first towards the anterior region dissecting pectoral muscles greater and less than 10 cm in length; the second trajectory towards the posterior region with a dissection of the dorsal muscle of 8 cm; and the third direct towards the thoracic cavity at the level of the 2nd and 3rd costal arches causing pleural rupture and laceration of the anterior segment of the right upper lobe”.
