Mr.Jhorjan Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Link:https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armored_Core_VI:_Fires_of_Rubicon Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is an upcoming mecha-based vehicular combat game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is the first installment in the Armored Core series since Armored Core: Verdict Day (2013), and is scheduled to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2023. gameplay Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is a mecha-based vehicular combat video game in which players pilot mechs called Armored Cores, which can be customized using parts to upgrade and hone their power. Players have four weapon slots, one on each arm and two equipped on the rear of the mech. The game's movement speed is "somewhere in the middle" between Armored Core 3 and Armored Core V. The arena, a feature of the earlier games, is in the form of a "combat fitness assessment program". Players are rewarded with credits for completing missions, with "subtractions and deductions in the compensation they receive and their reward" depending on the objectives completed. The game does not include the debt system from previous games, which causes players to lose money upon failure, and players can repeatedly attempt missions.2 History Armored Core VI takes place on a distant planet called Rubicon 3. There, humanity discovered a new energy source called "Coral" that could drastically increase its technological capabilities. Instead, however, this substance caused a catastrophic event that engulfed the entire star system in flames. After its rediscovery half a century later, humanity is once again trying to gain control over this mysterious resource. The player controls a freelance mercenary who pilots one of the famous Armored Cores, taking on jobs for alien mega-corporations and taking on resistance groups.3 Development In September 2016, FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki mentioned that a new installment in the Armored Core series was in early development.4 In January 2022, development for a potential new installment in the series was leaked due to a focus test.5 The game was formally announced at The Game Awards 2022 in December. The game is being directed by Masaru Yamamura, making his debut in the role after serving as lead game designer for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Yamamura took over from Miyazaki, who initially led development. Yasunori Ogura will serve as the game's producer.6 Miyazaki and Yamamura clarified that they have not made an intentional effort to push the game towards a soulslike style of gameplay.7 References "Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon launches August 25 – New gameplay details".
