Ford has officially confirmed the series production in Romania of a new light commercial vehicle. This van, whose debut in society will take place in 2022, will have a 100% electric variant. Production will start sometime in 2023 in Craiova.

Ford is working at full capacity in the development of new members that will go on to swell and, above all, enrich its commercial vehicle division. The American manufacturer is determined to boost its range of vans to deal with a market as relevant as the European one, and in which a number of registrations will be recorded annually.

One of the pillars on which Ford is supporting its commercial strategic plan is electrification. Electric vans are gaining prominence at an accelerated rate and the offer does not stop increasing. Ford, which has some of the best-selling vans in its portfolio, must respond to these changes in trend. The latest announcement made by the blue oval company is a clear example of this.
