The change in President Boric's story, which went from criticizing the 30 years of the Concertación in power to praising it, generated objections among prominent leaders who created the conglomerate of political parties that recovered democracy after the 1988 plebiscite. Sergio Bitar stated that It was a very bold turn and Boric showed that "it didn't matter if you took a U-turn." In the PS they regretted that despite his words, the Broad Front continues to criticize the Concertación. And in the PC they said that his sayings "are a somersault and a shame."

After the President of the Republic Gabriel Boric affirmed during his tour in Spain that in the last 30 years, since the return of democracy, we are a country that has reduced poverty and strengthened its institutions and highlighted that the private sector has a capacity for innovation that exceeds that of the State, founders of the Concertación and leaders of the Communist Party criticized the change of position of the president.

The former minister of the governments of Salvador Allende, Ricardo Lagos and Michelle Bachelet, and founder of the Concertación of parties for democracy, Sergio Bitar was strongly surprised by the shift in Boric's weighting.

“It is a very bold turn, to understand reality and seek the paths of social democracy coming from far-reaching extreme verbal positions. The impression remains that we are forgetful, that there is no trajectory, that there is no historical continuity, that you can make a U-turn and it doesn't matter," Bitar repaired about Boric's sayings in conversation with El Mostrador.
