[Auto] The Kia Telluride adds a new recognition in the United States

It is well known that in the United States drivers are very fond of large and robust family SUVs, something quite understandable when you think about its huge roads, and Kia with its Telluride continues to add recognition in this highly demanded segment. This time the model of the Korean brand was crowned "Favorite Family Vehicle" during the Annual Spring Rally of the Midwest Automotive Media Association (MAMA) of the United States.

More than 100 automotive journalists descended on the Road America Speedway at Elkhart Lake in Wisconsin for the annual Spring Rally, where they evaluated nearly 90 vehicles on a variety of driving courses before voting for their favorites in seven categories.

"While the Telluride has had an undeniable wow factor since its introduction, we're still finding ways to improve one of our most po[CENSORED]r models in Kia history," said Steven Center, Kia Americas chief operating officer and executive vice president.

 

 

"We added the X-Pro trim for the 2023 model to appeal to even more adventurous families, and we're proud that this rugged variant caught the eye of MAMA's most discerning journalists."

The 2023 Kia Telluride entered the rally noted for its fresh exterior styling and refined appearance, plus new technology including an available dual 12.3-inch curved display inside the cabin. Depending on trim, a new X-Line trim adds bridge-style roof rails, X-Line badging and increased ground clearance for a more rugged look, while the X-Pro takes it up a notch with X-badging. Pro, exclusive 18-inch black wheels, all-terrain tires and improved towing capacity.

“The Telluride has been a favorite among our members since it debuted with impressive styling, interior space and technology,” said Jim OBrill, MAMA director of communications. "Showing this year's 2023 X-Pro model on both the off-road circuit and on the streets highlighted Kia's focus on developing the Telluride's capabilities and maintaining its position in this segment among new and reinvigorated competitors."
