FNX Magokiler
Everything pointed to the fact that the new Intel processors, Arrow Lake, would come with a node of the brand called 20A. However, everything has changed and it seems they will abandon this for now and end up implementing the 3nm node. ¿Why the change? Is there something we have missed? Is it a way to compete with AMD's upcoming Zen 5? Let's see it. Arrow Lake and its 3nm node Arrow Lake, the next generation of Intel processors, is scheduled for release on desktop computers. Arrow Lake is expected to retain the structure and foundation of Meteor Lake. Initially, it was planned to use the Intel 20A node, which corresponds to 5nm technology. However, according to recent rumors, Intel may be forced to turn to TSMC's 3nm node. This possibility changes the course of everything a lot, since the difference between the two nodes is quite significant, and, although it has not yet been officially confirmed, everything indicates that it will be so. It is not the first time that this company has been forced to postpone the launch of a new generation of its processors due to problems in the nodes used, so this news surprises us even less. If the rumors turn out to be true and eventually Intel Arrow Lake uses TSMC's 3nm node instead of Intel 20A node, this could lead to some problems for them as they would have to rely more on TSMC and therefore pay more money. for the use of their technology. In addition, they would not be able to take advantage of their own factories and the investment made in the Intel 20A node. In other words, a great general economic loss. In any case, Intel could have expected this and the Arrow Lake would have been designed thinking that it could happen, so they would be adapted to both designs. Lunar Lake would be the build we may have to wait for to see the 20As up and running. For now, everything indicates that it will not be like that. In any case, although the rumor has a lot of weight, we must wait for an official confirmation, since they could surprise us at the last moment and launch it without anyone expecting it. A good technique to catch us by surprise. You never know. What we do know, since it was the forecast, and with these rumors even more, is that the rest of the brand's processors used the TSMC node, it was only expected for the Arrow Lake, therefore, there would be no news regarding the others. So? 2024? 2025? We'll see what happens, maybe we find that some future version ends up carrying the 20A, if only for testing it while preparing a more important release. For now, what we know for sure is that we have to wait. We will be attentive to any news or pronunciation by the brand and we will tell you about it at the moment. Hopefully it's good news. Although Intel does not usually release much information in a normal way. https://hardzone.es/noticias/procesadores/intel-problema-nodo-3nm/
