There are several North American players who, when running Blizzard's Action RPG, encounter an error message

The day has arrived. Starting today, owners of Diablo IV Deluxe or Ultimate Editions can return to Sanctuary and raise their weapons against vast hordes of demonic creatures. Or, at least, that was Blizzard's initial plan before learning that dozens of PlayStation players cannot access the Action RPG from their respective consoles, which has not taken long to cause a wave of criticism towards the developers.

As pointed out by Eurogamer, several North American users have started the title to run into an error message that says: "Cannot find a valid license for Diablo IV". It didn't take long for the complaints to reach the Blizzard forums, where, at the time of writing, there are still comments of frustration being posted about the inability to start the game with Early Access offered by the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions.

Blizzard has already opened a thread focused exclusively on this failure: "We are seeing reports about PlayStation users who are experiencing Invalid License errors," explains the brand's Community Manager. "The team is looking at this right now and we'll update you as soon as we have more information." For their part, the community has already gotten to work finding a solution on their own, and while its occurrence is somewhat unusual, there is no doubt that it is working on all players.

It appears that users must purchase or download a new game for the PlayStation system to "remember" a valid license for Diablo IV. In this way, and despite the fact that this solution also works by adding a free title to the library of PS4 or PS5, there are players who claim to have spent some money to purchase a delivery and enter the hellish experience of Blizzard.

What do we think of Diablo IV?
We will be closely monitoring Blizzard's social media and forums in case the team shares a remedy that does not involve purchasing or downloading a product. After all, this release is established as one of the biggest events of this 2023 and, as we already told you in our Diablo IV analysis, it marks the return through the front door of one of the heavyweights of the genre.
