The Colombian Ministry of Foreign Relations informed that Milton Rengifo Hernández is the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Colombia in Venezuela, after the Ministry of Po[CENSORED]r Power for Foreign Relations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela granted its approval for his appointment.

Rengifo Hernández is a political scientist with a specialization in Urban Studies and a Master's in Development and Environment. He was Undersecretary of Government of the President, Gustavo Petro, during his tenure as mayor of Bogotá. In addition, he has been one of his advisers for more than 10 years.

In the next few days he will take up his position as ambassador.
