In line with the international projection of the fairs and events organized by IFEMA MADRID, on this occasion it has the participation of Ecuador as the Guest Country. As the director of both events, Alex Suau, points out: «This is the most international edition to date, with exhibitors from more than 30 countries and visitors from the five continents, thanks to the agreements established with the most relevant associations and institutions in Spain. and Portugal, Europe and the Americas to continue promoting the production and consumption of organic throughout the world. In this environment, Hall 7 will host (June 7 and 😎 the news of 350 companies, with the best ecological, sustainable and innovative products from around the world in agri-food, wines, beverages, beauty, textiles, 'eco-packaging', health and well-being, with a complete program of conferences and seminars with top-level speakers, and activities for the industry. The latest trends and innovations in the organic agri-food, beverage, and wine sectors -Organic Wine Iberia- will be shown, while Eco Living Iberia brings together buyers and producers of cosmetics, textiles and fashion, eco-packaging, household items and drugstores . Thousands of distributors, wholesalers, retailers and exhibitors under the same commercial framework, with natural and sustainable products from both the Iberian Peninsula and internationally. Both offer participants a platform for international expansion and promotion with the International Hosted Buyer and VIP Program, in addition to the International Buyers Program of ICEX Spain Export and Investment (for which professionals from the most relevant markets will be present, as in the cases Europe, Canada, China, the United States and the Middle East). The Annual Report on Organic Production in Spain 2023, prepared by Ecovalia, reveals the keys to the increase in the sector, as in the case of the 2,856 million euros in value of all organic products in Spain in 2022. The total average expenditure per capita stood at 60 euros per person per year (53.20 spent in households), with an 'ecological shopping basket' that in Spain accounted for 64% organic products of plant origin (mainly fruit -14% - and vegetables -10%-), and 36% of products of animal origin, mainly meat, with 27%. Sustainable ecosystem The Innovation Zone presents, for its part, the most innovative and innovative products from the exhibitors launched in the last twelve months, with the opportunity, for visitors and buyers, to vote among the products presented to the winners among 11 different categories (which will be announced at the Eco&Organic Awards 2023). And the Eco & Organic Retail Awards will recognize and reward the importance of companies dedicated to the retail sector in Spain and Portugal, increasing social awareness of the importance of good ecological performance. As in the rest of the events organized by the fair institution, innovation in its broadest sense is present in each of the conferences, and this is the case in this case with the Innovation Zone, which presents the most innovative and innovative products of the exhibitors launched in the last year. An environment that will also host the Eco & Organic Awards Iberia 2022, with 12 award categories for 150 products submitted to the contest, with the voting of visitors and invited buyers.
