'Queen Charlotte: A Story of the Bridgertons' Cinemanía
'The Bridgertons', the Netflix original series, is in the top 1 of the most watched fictions in Spain with the recent premiere of the third season 'Bridgerton: Reina Carlota'. Only a few days ago this spin-off came out and led the ranking of this platform as the most po[CENSORED]r.

This historical romance series is based on Julia Quinn's bestselling novels of the same title, set in the competitive world of Regency London high society. As is typical of Netflix, each season has eight episodes.

But if you have not yet entered the world of 'The Bridgertons', you still have time to catch up with the episodes and discover the true world that surrounded Queen Charlotte. If, on the other hand, you are a fan and have passed the marathon of the series, there are many curiosities, anecdotes and scenes that hide surprising secrets that you probably did not know.

But this article is aimed at all audiences: whether you have seen the series or if you want to delve into it, take note of all these curiosities that cannot go unnoticed to better understand the history and customs of the Duke of Hastings, Anthony Bridgerton , Daphne or Penelope Featherington and the entire universe that surrounds 'The Bridgertons'.

1. Julie Andrews voices Lady Whistledown
The po[CENSORED]r actress Julie Andrews, known for playing the iconic babysitter, Mary Poppins, or starring in the unforgettable The Sound of Music, is the voice of Lady Whistledown in the original version of the series. Andrews plays an important facet that, how could it be otherwise, is already an important symbol of 'The Bridgertons'.

2. There are two insects very present
In the first season there are two insects that have a lot of weight in 'The Bridgertons' and each one hides a powerful meaning: butterflies and bees. Have you noticed it?

The butterflies refer to the Featherington family and are present both in Penelope's dresses and on the stairs of her house, a symbol of gradual social growth.

The bees, on the other hand, refer to the Bridgerton family, very present in sets and costumes. The meaning they have is the power enjoyed by the family.3. Queen Charlotte does not exist in the novels
Queen Charlotte, played by the celebrated actress Golda Rosheuvel, does not appear in Julia Quinn's novels. Therefore, the decision to incorporate it on the screen was thanks to the producers and writers of the series. The team let it be a good idea to have a monarch in the presence, based on a real historical figure, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

4. Princess Diana's estate, inspiration for Bridgerton House
As he conceded to Chris Van Dusen on his own social networks, "the interior of Bridgerton House was inspired by my visit to Althorp when I was developing the series. Elegance. Opulence. And that #staircase."

The iconic estate where Princess Lady-Di spent her teenage years.

5. Each family wears specific colors in their wardrobe
The wardrobe of the series hides a certain meaning with the colors, since the different families wear suits and designs that follow a certain color range.

In the case of the Bridgertons, they usually wear light, neutral or pastel colors, alluding to a higher social class, conveying elegance and fortune. The Featherington family, on the other hand, wear a wardrobe of more remarkable and striking tones.

In addition, the wardrobe team is made up of more than 200 people who spend many hours a day creating each look. What's more, counting the accessories of the actors and actresses, a total of 7,500 pieces were created for 5,000 different outfits.

6. Characters with feminist winks
A remarkable element for a series set in the 19th century is the nod to certain feminist approaches. But whose idea was this? How could it be otherwise, the leader was the author of the novel, whose intention was to provide the historical series with a modern touch.

7. The real Queen Charlotte was very social
It is no coincidence that one of the most representative characteristics of Queen Charlotte is someone who is always alert and aware of everything. "She was definitely part of the Regency-era social scene, so having her with us was important from a historical perspective as well," Chris Van Dusen told ET Online.

8. Interior design and its link with Lady-Di
In addition to the fact that Princess Diana's estate was a source of inspiration for the Bridgerton house.

Another point that few know is that the interiors of the 'Bridgerton' family house are inspired by Althorp, the home where Princess Diana grew up. The finishes and all the details have a justified reference since nothing is represented without a foundation.

9. Not everything is historically real

According to the producer and screenwriter Christ Van Dusen in an interview with The Daily Express: "We honor history, of course, but we are not obliged to it. Even though we are set in the 19th century, we wanted things to feel close. We wanted them to the public would see themselves reflected in these characters". Therefore, if you are a movie buff and do not lose detail of the 'Bridgerton', you will notice some historical discrepancies.

10. Queen Charlotte's hair was inspired by Beyoncé
The monarch queen Carlota will change some outfits of the queen of music Beyoncé. "When I researched Queen Charlotte and found out she was of African descent, it gave me so much more scope to create her beautiful looks," Marc Pilcher told Vogue.

As the series' stylist told Essence, "I was sorting through some images and then I saw Beyoncé Knowles in Austin Powers Goldmember and that's when I thought, 'That's what I want.' I wanted the biggest afro anyone had ever seen."
