FNX Magokiler
A little over a month ago, the patent for the new Renault compact SUV was leaked from Europe, a model that will act as the successor to the Stepway and the Sandero, and which will be produced by the brand in Brazil, as part of a new breed of vehicles from the “Rhombus” for this part of the world. At the end of April, a test unit was seen in Brazil, which, although it was highly camouflaged, revealed some details that coincided with the renders recorded in the "Old Continent". However, there was no certainty that it was exactly the same model... until now. From the National Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI) of Brazil, digital images from a patent made by Renault were leaked. Let's see what was seen and if it is indeed the same model or not. New Renault SUV: What was seen? The leaked patent in Brazil shows us the SUV B with a design that exactly matches the model seen in early March in Europe. As we told you on that occasion, the new model of the "Rombo" will stand out for being a crossover, which will present: flatter hood Bi-level headlights with high DLR and mid-high headlamps Dark guards around the lower perimeter and fenders Two-tone bodywork Roof bars Logically, it will also present aspects of Renault's current design line, such as the very large logo on the front, the art deco design of the wheels and the “C”-shaped rear lights. New Renault SUV: what else is known? The Renault model will be produced in Brazil on a new platform, going from the current B0 to the CMF-B, which should also be applied to future Renault projects in the region, such as the new Oroch and the seven-seater Bigster. The engine should be the new 1.0 Turbo with between 100 and 120 horsepower and the transmission would be automatic, some rumors say that it is a dual clutch, but logic indicates that it would be a CVT. It is worth saying that the SUV B is expected to be presented in the neighboring country by October of this year, while its commercialization would begin in 2024. Will we see it in Chile? It could be an interesting model that makes the Kwid big brother and proposes a new alternative in the crowded SUV-B segment. https://noticias.autocosmos.cl/2023/05/05/el-reemplazo-del-renault-stepway-ya-tiene-registro-en-brasil
