Sebastian Vettel has announced his participation in the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The German will return after more than ten years without participating, and he will do so by riding several of the most emblematic single-seaters in Formula 1 history.

The German driver has confirmed his participation in the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where he will drive some of Formula 1's most iconic historic cars.

The annual event, held in the south of England, is one of the biggest motoring festivals in the world, attracting thousands of fans each year. At the Festival of Speed, historic and modern racing cars are on display and competed in a variety of challenges, from hill racing to displays of skill.

Sebastian Vettel has expressed his excitement at taking part in the Goodwood event, where he has not appeared since doing so in 2012 at the hands of the RB7, and has said he is looking forward to experiencing the thrill of driving some of the most iconic cars in racing history. the F1.

"It's fantastic to return to Goodwood after so many years," Vettel said in words collected by Motorsport. "I can't wait to get behind the wheel of some of my most memorable cars, which will be running on sustainable fuel over the weekend."

"I am a passionate driver and it is important to me that we continue to enjoy driving historic racing cars now and in the future, but that we do so in a responsible way," Sebastian continued.

The now former Formula 1 driver will get into several of the most important single-seaters he owns, including the Williams FW14B with which Nigel Manssell managed to win the championship in 1992 or the McLaren MP4/8 driven by Ayrton Senna in 1993.

All these cars that Vettel will get into will be powered by sustainable fuels, following the "Race without Trace" initiative that he himself started the year before when he drove the same Williams FW14B at Silverstone.

When will the Goodwood Festival of Speed take place?
The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed will take place from 6-9 July 2023, and is expected to attract thousands of fans from around the world. In addition to Vettel's participation, the event is expected to feature other great F1 drivers as well as a wide variety of historic and modern cars on display.
