Draeno Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 He had gone fishing in crocodile-infested waters: the remains of a missing Australian were found inside one of these reptiles, local police announced Wednesday. The 65-year-old man, identified by Australian media as Kevin Darmody, went fishing on Saturday in northern Queensland state (northeast) with locals, police said. According to police, the group had fended off a crocodile so they could start fishing. Witnesses later heard the man "screaming, yelling very loudly, followed by a huge splash," Cairns Police Inspector Mark Henderson said. Two meter-long crocodiles were later shot dead by rifle-wielding rangers in Lakefield National Park, where the group had gathered. The tests carried out with the two reptiles "unfortunately allowed us to identify the remains of the missing person," the inspector declared. He was "a very nice man," a pub manager in a rural upstate town, Henderson said. https://www.elperiodico.com/es/extra/20230503/hallados-restos-australiano-desaparecido-cocodrilo-86803232
