Minister Izaguirre and the Executive Director of the Phytosanitary and Zoosanitary Regulation and Control Agency (Agrocalidad), Patricio Almeida, indicated that this phase will end on June 19, 2023. More than 4.6 million cattle will be vaccinated during May and June more than 4.6 million head of cattle and buffaloes will be vaccinated. Izaguirre states that having animals without foot-and-mouth disease "allows us to have healthy cattle, as well as quality meat and milk." It will also benefit more than 284,000 producers and their families.
