ATLANTA — Garrett Cooper responded with a two-run double with two out in the ninth inning, capping a blistering five-run run by the Miami Marlins to beat the Atlanta Braves 5-4 Thursday night to avoid a sweep. in the series.
The game was delayed three hours due to rain.

Kyle Wright and four relievers shut Miami out until the ninth, but the Marlins overturned a 4-0 deficit against Braves closer A.J. minter.

Yuli Gurriel, Avisail Garcia and Jazz Chisholm drove in runs with RBI singles to get Minter (1-3) off the mound, who finished just two of the seven batters he faced.
