[Moto] The electric motorcycle that adapts to any height

It's called Athena and at the moment it's a project but it proposes a very interesting solution to a problem that many shorter bikers have.

Athena is industrial designer Zhengxuan Xie's graduation project at the Royal College of Art in London. Although most motorcycle manufacturers, as with automobiles, try to adapt their vehicles to all types of constitutions and morphologies, in larger motorcycles height is a determining factor. The designer from Shanghai, China, has thought about this problem for some users and has come up with a solution that is only a project at the moment but could be carried out into production.

Much of Athena's fairing is made of translucent material that reveals some of the components of its electric propulsion system. To solve the problem of height, the designer Xie proposes a set of saddle and support that can be adapted to different configurations with the possibility of raising or lowering this entire section. When the bike stops, the seating position lowers so the rider can get on or off the bike and also get to the ground at stops. This feature also allows it to be replaced by a seat specifically designed for each user, a double seat or whatever the pilot needs.

Other functionalities
In addition to achieving a comfortable and ergonomic driving position for all heights, Athena also has other systems that make driving easier and even fun, thanks to some details of its technology. Among them is a graphic animation, about what would be the fuel tank, which through movements and color informs the driver of the speed at which it circulates. The rear lights are integrated into the seat and into the sides of the rear wheel fairing, in the form of red vertical lines. A really interesting motorcycle-concept that would easily solve the limitation that many possible users have in order to enjoy higher motorcycles.
