The logo of the film combines colors and typography of others shown on previous occasions. The main references are to the Super Mario 3D and Odyssey versions of the game.
The movie is inspired by many of the versions of Super Mario, as seen in the cannon that appears in the opening video. The actor in charge of giving voice, in its English version, to Super Mario is Chris Pratt. The protagonist of the latest versions of Jurassic Park or the Guardians of the Galaxy saga thus embarks on this adventure in which he takes on a very important challenge. “Mario is the soundtrack to the lives of young children. All that feeling is what makes the experience of watching this movie so great. I mean, I am that kid," Pratt said of the film and his starring role, in a very emotional and moving message.
The composer who has been chosen to put the music to the film is the famous and prestigious Brian Tyler, who has extensive experience in film soundtracks. Tyler himself has acknowledged being a fan of this video game and has been very grateful to the management for having him for the project. “I wanted to incorporate Mario nostalgia,” Tyler has said of the film's song composition.

In Spain, the film collected 2.1 million euros on the day of its premiere, Wednesday, April 5, 2023. This means the best entry in the history of an animation work in Spanish theaters. It is also the best premiere in the month of April since this data was recorded.
 In the trailer for the film, its beginning with a scene from Browser, the bad guy in the action, is striking. Audiences have to wait a couple of scenes to see Super Mario and learn how he is depicted in his first appearance on the big screen.

Bowser stars in the trailer for many reasons, including that he has developed an unexpected taste for music. In fact, on occasion he launches into singing a song. As expected, the role of Bowser is the protagonist throughout the entire film. Everyone is waiting for a great final battle with Super Mario. Could directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic have predicted it this way?
Luigi, the brother of Super Mario, has problems in the movie. At least that is how it is shown in the summary, as it appears in one of the last scenes of the video in an awkward situation. He is chased by a herd of Little Bones, conveying a sense of unease that does not fit with the rest of the work. Luigi's voice in the original version is that of actor and producer Charlie Day, who had his best experience as a dubber with 'Monster University', in 2013. Ten years later he returns to animation.
In the Mushroom Kingdom there is at least one castle; Well, that is how it is reflected in the trailer (you have to look closely, yes). These two icons of the po[CENSORED]r video game are therefore present in the cinema. It is not the only castle in the film, as another one is identified on which Luigi prowls.

 

With only two weeks on the big screen, the Super Mario Bros. movie has become the highest-grossing video game adaptation in history. The work raised, after its second weekend, more than 500 million dollars worldwide, of which 55 percent correspond to the American box offices and the remaining amount, to the rest of the countries. Warcraft and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu closed below 440 million. Expectations are very high and these figures will fall short within a month.
