[Auto] BMW i7 M70 xDrive: executive character, electrifying luxury and performance

As we know, the I7 is the electric version of the 7 Series, a model that was presented in Colombia less than a month ago. Its dimensions are similar, 5.39 meters long and 3.21 meters of wheelbase.

As this M70 is an M Performance model, of course there are unique details that appeal to this sportier spirit, including:

The design of the cabin maintains the modern luxury style, but with exclusive accessories and details, such as illuminated M door sill trims, M leather steering wheel, M driver's footrest and M-specific indicators in the BMW curved display ( BMW Curved Display).

The BMW Individual Interior package offers some extra individualization options, such as nine upholstery colors or carbon-fibre trim with silver filaments.

Regarding the equipment, there are things that are simply exquisite, such as:

Executive Lounge seats with optimized recline function in the rear
The famous BMW Theater Screen at the rear, suspended from the ceiling

The entire multimedia system is operated via the BMW OS 8.5 interface with an improved iDrive selector with "QuickSelect" functions. This interface has a new home screen with vertical icons and allows direct access to functions without having to switch to submenus.

All digital services and apps included in the new BMW 7 Series are available. The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant and other voice assistants, video playback in the center display, mobile phone integration, My Modes and Personal e-SIM can also be used in the new BMW i7 M70 xDrive.

BMW i7 M70 xDrive: performance

The I7 M70, which is the third 100% electric car from M Performance, has two fifth-generation e-drive motors on each axle, which together develop 485 kW (650 hp or 660 CV) and a maximum torque of 1,100 Nm (available with the M Sport Boost function and M Launch Control). If we consider that it has a top speed of 250 km/h and that it reaches 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, it becomes the most powerful and fastest electric car in the 7 Series.

The electric motor on the rear axle features twice as many excitation coils in the stator and the highest power density ever achieved in BMW electric motors.

All this power is accompanied by an M adaptive air suspension package, electronically controlled dampers, integral active steering, Executive Drive Pro program (including active roll stabilisation) and M sport brake system.
