HeWhoRemains™
The galleon "Andalucía", belonging to the fleet of historic ships of the Nao Victoria Foundation, is available for visits in the port of Bermeo. Ander Iribar tells us "in situ". The impressive school ship, which has been docked at the Artza pier in the fishing village, can be visited until the next 16th, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The crew is made up of 25 men and women, mostly from different parts of the State, although they also come from Mexico. Pablo Gálvez from Córdoba has joined the group in order to complete and experience his studies in Maritime Transport and Deep Sea Fishing. The most curious will have the opportunity to board the galleon and tour its six decks, in addition to knowing in detail what the life of its crew was like, navigation on board and the history of those crew members for more than three centuries sailing the oceans. The 'Andalucía' is 55 meters long and on its main deck the bowsprit and three tall masts that support its seven sails stand out. The stern is presided over by a Marian representation, "La Esperanza de Triana", whose replica, the work of the image maker Antonio José Labrador, is also on display in the officer's chamber. https://www.eitb.eus/es/radio/radio-euskadi/programas/mas-que-palabras/detalle/9173082/el-galeon-andalucia--mas-que-palabras-radio-euskadi/
