It seems that the Aston Martin DBS Volante has little left. Its commercial life cycle is over and we also see versions like the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate Volante that could be its swan song. The convertible adopts that same facet that its coupé brother already took a few months ago, a more powerful and more equipped special edition that left no one indifferent. In this case, it is limited to only 199 units, all of them already assigned, which will begin to be delivered in the third quarter of the year.

If we start with its mechanics, we could not miss that already legendary 5.2-liter biturbo V12 that has given the Gaydon firm so much joy. If when the DBS Superleggera came out it was announced with 725 CV, in this edition it has taken a very considerable step forward. It reaches 770 hp and 900 Nm of torque, making it one of the fastest convertibles in the world. In fact, it does 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 340 km/h. Always with that eight-speed ZF automatic transmission as a reference.

The behavior of this model is also improved with some adjustments to the chassis. The suspension has been recalibrated and features firmer adaptive dampers. The brakes are carbon ceramic with 410mm front discs and 360mm rear discs to put some control. In addition, the steering has been modified to have a firmer setting. The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate Volante can also be distinguished by a distinctive aesthetic configuration both outside and inside.

The front splitter is more prominent on this example and the hood air intakes are accented with carbon fiber. The 21-inch wheels have a very characteristic finish and help to maintain the sportiness along with its rear diffuser, which integrates the four exhaust outlets. And if the exterior delighted anyone, the interior presents an equally spectacular configuration.

The Sports Plus seats are upholstered in full semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, in a camel color that suits the whole, but can be chosen by the customer through the Q by Aston Martin personalization program. With the 300 units of the DBS 770 Ultimate coupe and these 199 of the Volante, the last series of the model will be completed with that total of 499 units.
