SEGA's blue hedgehog and some of the most emblematic characters from the Japanese company fight for copper in a fun karting game for iOS and Android.
If you have an iconic character, or a major franchise, turn it and tweak it all into a kart game. Combining pets, settings and sagas in a karting title is what seems like one of those unwritten rules in the world of video games. In short, if you don't have a kart game, you can't consider yourself a character with a tradition in electronic entertainment. Mario set a trend, which was followed by Crash Bandicoot, followed by Sonic -by the hand of Sumo Digital-, and now recently, continues to Angry Birds, the last of the great franchises that have decided to switch to the driving genre. Even Star Wars characters and creatures and Formula 1 championship drivers had their own! The first approach of the charismatic hedgehog from SEGA to the world of karting was remarkable, and now, several years later, and after a delivery for PS3 and Xbox 360, we have a second installment that treasures playable changes that can add that extra touch of originality that perhaps it was conspicuous by its absence in the first part.

By sea, land and air
Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed allows us to race in the most diverse environments and circuits, with a car capable of adapting to the terrain, either transforming into a plane to cross the skies or a motorboat to enter the most rugged waterways. This manages to bring two new playable dimensions to the well-known driving and kart formula already known in the genre, which continues to cling to the most classic canons seen to date. SEGA has done a good job of this, as the three systems complement and link in an instant and accessible way, resulting in natural gameplay.

The approach of Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed is the same as always -if something works, why change it?-. We have just over fourteen different characters to play with -some of which are not accessible until well into the game-, a good number of circuits, with their own variants and a series of very classic and common game modes -such as tournament mode or the one of challenges-. In Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed you will find a large part of the catalog of mascots, characters, icons and stars of the SEGA franchises, with the best representation of the Japanese company. We can ask Sonic, Tails, Amy, Ulala -Space Channel 5-, B.D. Joe -Crazy Taxy- or Ryo Hazuki from Shenmue himself. There is a lot to choose from… And a lot to unlock.
