Ubisoft Toronto will be very important in the development of the next Far Cry games.

After a last installment that generated some division in the community, Ubisoft's decision has been to double its commitment to the Far Cry saga. Video games in the franchise have historically been developed by the company's Montreal division. However, now another study of the company is going to join them to carry out the next installments. This is Ubisoft Toronto, a studio that is no stranger to this open world shooter, since it has already collaborated in the latest installments. However, it seems that this time things go a little further.

The information, far from being hidden from the public, can be consulted by everyone, as it has been revealed through various job offers listed on the official Ubisoft Toronto website. There are a total of three vacancies: Design Technical Director, Animation Team Leader, and Biomes Animation Team Leader. It is these positions that invite us to think about a more ambitious collaboration, since in Far Cry 6 his contribution was focused on the technological level. They focused on sound, weather, ray tracing, and improving stealth.

In any case, it makes sense that from Ubisoft they have allocated more support in terms of development for Far Cry projects, and the plural is the key. During the past month of January it was leaked that the company was working on two titles in parallel. One would be a traditional Far Cry, with its own open world and story. The other, a multiplayer that suggests a greater approach as a service. It is unknown in which of the two the Toronto team could be collaborating more intensely.

 

Ubisoft wants to return in style
The latest Ubisoft releases have not been accompanied by the usual success that characterizes a company that turned everything it touched into gold – almost literally. Delays of different video games, institutional crisis and many problems have meant that we have to talk about it negatively much more than we would like. However, from the company they are preparing their great return. Next June there will be a conference in which many of the projects closest to their launch will be specified. Who knows, we may even know a little more about these two new Far Cry titles.
