The Californian study has clarified that it will continue to inform us of the verification on the Valve laptop once the performance problems are solved.

Si esperas The Last of Us: Parte I en Steam Deck, Naughty Dog tiene unas palabras para ti tras el desastre de la versión de PC

The PC version of The Last of Us: Part I has been with us for a few days now, but there are still many players who are not being able to enjoy an ideal experience. Naughty Dog has released a computer port with numerous errors and performance problems and, although they have dated the various patches, it is a situation that has affected the plans of the Californian PlayStation studio.

And it is that, beyond being available in different stores, there are several users who hope to be able to play the work starring Joel and Ellie on Steam Deck, Valve's portable computer-console. To do this, the game must be verified, a process that seems to have been complicated after recent events. Or so Naughty Dog herself tells us via Twitter:

"A reminder that we will have a new fix for The Last of Us: Part I on PC tomorrow [April 5], and a patch on Friday. We will share the patch notes when the update is live and let you know what to expect from the patch on the Friday before its release.
And while we know many of you would like to play The Last of Us: Part I on Steam Deck, we're prioritizing fixes and patches before submitting it through the verification process. We'll keep you posted on the status for the Steam Deck as we continue to improve the PC version."

The Last Of Us

What do we think of the port to PC?
Although by now it's clear that the PC version of Naughty Dog's magnum opus hasn't come out as polished as it should, you can dig deeper into what it offers by taking a look at his review of The Last of Us: Part I on PC. our colleague Alberto Lloria this past March, summarizing the experience as follows:

"We have had to wait a long time on PC to play The Last of Us. Those who did not want to make the leap or, out of curiosity, tried it on any of the three generations of Sony, and have endured stoically on PC have seen a port that It doesn't do the game justice, nor the wait. Many were afraid of the hand of Iron Galaxy for this port, but the focus must be put on those from Santa Monica.
It may have been the time they had for development or some other factor, but Naughty Dog's product leaves a lot to be desired. There's a lot of work ahead for the studio, and the community already knows they have to wait a little longer."
