Clayboy™
Ubisoft leaker ScriptLeaksR6 continues sharing information on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, the open world action/adventure game in development at Massive Entertainment (The Division).Over the last couple of days, he tweeted that the game would feature a season pass, welcome pass, and currency packs, likely to be purchased with real money. This could likely be similar to the latest Assassin's Creed games, which also featured microtransactions, though they didn't really impact the gameplay in any way. Additionally, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is going to have some sort of online co-op feature, though the leaker couldn't elaborate further. In this case, it's possible Massive might be taking a cue from Far Cry, which includes two-player drop-in, drop-out co-op support.Either way, they're all elements geared toward a live service game, which is unsurprising since those games are the bread and butter of Ubisoft's lineup. ScriptLeaksR6 began a series of leaks on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora when he shared that pre-orders would drop soon, featuring the so-called The Child of the Two Worlds Pack (one character cosmetic set and one weapon skin) bonus to entice customers.A few days later, the leaker published a couple of in-game screenshots on Twitter, though they have been since taken down by Ubisoft through DMCA action. The juiciest leak came just two days ago, though, when ScriptLeaksR6 shared the full product sheet of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. According to the info, the main character was abducted by the human RDA faction at a young age and trained to do their bidding. It is hinted that they were able to escape and will now fight back against the invaders. Character customization, upgrading skills, crafting gear and weapons were all confirmed as well. Weapon choices mentioned in the product overview include bow, spear-thrower, assault rifle, and shotgun. Aerial combat is in the game, too, and players will be able to use their personal banshee creature to soar the skies and explore far-off areas.Formerly scheduled to launch in 2022, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was delayed to fiscal year 2023 and will now constitute the backbone of Ubisoft's lineup for the year, even more so should the rumors of Assassin's Creed Mirage and The Crew Motorfest delays be confirmed. Massive will likely showcase the gameplay of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora during the Ubisoft Forward event, which is due to take place on June 12th from an undisclosed Los Angeles venue. https://wccftech.com/avatar-frontiers-of-pandora-will-have-online-co-op-season-pass-and-currency-packs-says-leaker/
