#Wittels-
The Kawasaki ZX-R4 and ZX-4RR represent much more than two mid-displacement sportbikes. It is the revival of an old era but full of mythical motorcycles: the era of 400 cc four-cylinder sports cars that were born in Japan and spread among young (and not so young) bikers in the '90s. It has not yet reached our streets or circuits but there is already expectation for the return of a myth, a symbol. Disappoint or succeed, now we had not seen more than the brushstrokes of the presentation ... We needed to see it run and scream with that four-cylinder rusting up to the rev limit that we now know what it is. Capable of marking a 100 to 200 km/h in just over 13 seconds The Asian market will be the first to taste the new ZX-4R and ZX-4RR. In fact, some local dealerships are already delivering the first units there. In the United States they are ready to disembark... And meanwhile, in Europe we still don't have a specific arrival date, although according to Kawasaki it would be after the summer. There are only a few months left, but now we can go a step further and see the 400cc sports car roaring on the track. The merit is not small: it is the only Japanese motorcycle with four cylinders and less than 500 cc that only China stands up to with its Kove 400 RR. Let's remember that the Ninja's engine is newly built: four cylinders in line, double overhead camshaft, liquid cooling and a maximum power of 77 CV. Thanks to the Ram-Air air pressurization system, it is capable of reaching up to 80 CV when going at high speed. It is limited to the A2 license (and the ZX-4RR too). The brand has said that it exceeds 15,000 rpm, but has not specified the range. It will come in two versions: the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R SE and the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR. The first differs by having the colors of the WSBK Kawasaki Racing Team, preload adjustment on the front fork, dual KQS semi-automatic gearbox, smoked screen and USB power socket. The second gets all of that plus a Showa BFRC-lite rear shock, the same one that's mounted on the ZX-10R. And yes, it is confirmed: it will spin up to more than 15,000 rpm! In the latest video published by the Akashi brand we can see not only the maximum speed or top speed that the ZX-4R reaches, but also the maximum revs it reaches. On the other hand, it is capable of reaching 253 km/h. The ZX-4R is capable of 100 to 200 km/h in 15.6 seconds. A very decent speed considering that rivals like the Yamaha R7 reach 227 km/h. He only needed to put fifth gear and reach the cut on the straight of the Sentul circuit to prove it.
