Developer Ironmace is still working on bringing the game back to Valve's platform.

We are at the end of March and surely the name of Dark and Darker will ring a bell. The game has proven to be a fairly solid proposition that has suited the tastes of the players, but the latest news we have on the title is not positive for its developers or for the fans. Last we heard, the police had searched Ironmace's offices after being accused of theft.

This all comes because Nexon started a legal dispute since some of the Dark and Darker content supposedly comes from one of their canceled games. It should be noted that some developers who are now members of Ironmace worked in this company. Also, after having denied the alleged theft of content from Nexon, we have learned thanks to Games Radar that Dark and Darker has disappeared from Steam.

This all comes because Nexon started a legal dispute since some of the Dark and Darker content supposedly comes from one of their canceled games. It should be noted that some developers who are now members of Ironmace worked in this company. Also, after having denied the alleged theft of content from Nexon, we have learned thanks to Games Radar that Dark and Darker has disappeared from Steam.

Fortunately, Ironmace has come forward with a statement through the community Discord: "To all of our fans, Nexon has recently sent us a cease and desist letter and a DMCA Takedown Notice regarding Dark and Darker based in distorted claims. We are currently working with our legal team to remedy this matter in the best possible way," explains the developer team.
"Due to the sensitive legal nature of this matter, we must be careful in our statements so as not to jeopardize our position. We ask for your understanding as we work to get the game back up and running as soon as possible. We will do everything we can for our fans. Thank you "concludes Ironmace.
