FNX Magokiler
The despicable fact, which had a pit bull as its victim, is being investigated in Antofagasta by the PDI's Investigative Brigade for Crimes Against the Environment. The dog did not have a chip that would allow it to be identified or its owners. Another inhumane case of animal abuse: a pit bull dog drowned after being tied with a harness to a rock that was submerged in the sea in the city of Antofagasta. According to the first records, the despicable event occurred on Tuesday in the Caleta Coloso sector, and was denounced by animal rights activists before the Investigative Brigade of Crimes Against the Environment and Cultural Heritage (Bidema) of the PDI. "The expert reports in the sector were lifted, the animal could be unearthed, because the witness told us that he had found it on Tuesday and buried it the same day. On Wednesday we went and verified that the animal at least did not have a third-party action regarding to a run over or injury," reported Deputy Commissioner Tomás Silva. The circumstances are under investigation, but so far "it can be determined that (the action) was with some intention of creating mistreatment, the fraud of tying her to a stone." After the body was exhumed, it was found that the dog did not have a chip that would allow her or her owners to be identified. For this reason, the Bidema called on the community to provide background information, if they have any, on those responsible for the specimen, with white fur, as well as the culprits in the case. "We, as animalists, are going to continue fighting, we are going to continue demonstrating, until the culprits pay with effective jail," said Luz Echanez, an environmental activist from Antofagasta. https://www.cooperativa.cl/noticias/pais/region-de-antofagasta/inhumano-perrita-murio-ahogada-tras-ser-amarrada-a-una-roca-que-fue/2022-10-27/171850.html
