FNX Magokiler
That General Motors is carrying out an important development plan for electric vehicles, there is no doubt. Led by the Ultium platform announced at the beginning of 2020 and to be used in models such as the GMC Hummer EV and the Chevrolet Silverado EV, the advance of the American automaker in battery-powered vehicles seems to be endless. And the hybrids? Well, a few days ago we told you that the new Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray hybrid is about to be unveiled, but the reality is that, beyond the sports car, in recent times there has been no news linking the GM brands with the hybrid world. . Until now. At General Motors, no hybrids It turns out that, in the last few hours, from the top of GM they made it very clear the direction they will take. According to what was pointed out to the US media by Mark Reuss, president of the company, it will not get involved in hybrids (whatever their type) as a previous step to electric models. Speaking of the European market, Reuss criticized those brands that decide to participate in the hybrid world, and pointed out that GM will not lose part of its investment in electric mobility in this type of drive system. In addition, he pointed out that they expect their movements in the field of electric vehicles to be profitable from 2025, the year by which the company will have already unveiled to the world (according to its plan) several battery-powered models. General Motors and electric mobility The presentation of the vehicles mentioned at the beginning of the note are only part of the models that General Motors announced in 2021, when it unveiled its electric proposal. On the other hand, it currently owns two Ultium battery factories and is building a third, while it has also reached an agreement with Honda to produce low-cost electric vehicles, a link of which the Honda Prologue is the first fruit. Regarding our region, in the middle of this year Chevrolet announced the arrival of three electric models: Bolt EUV, Equinox EV and Blazer EV. In theory, the Bolt would begin to be sold in several markets throughout 2023, while the brand did not provide arrival details of the other vehicles. https://noticias.autocosmos.cl/2022/12/23/general-motors-no-producira-modelos-hibridos-de-ningun-tipo
