World's FASTEST Electric Cars! 0-60MPH in 1.69sec?! - YouTube

A few days ago, the YouTube channel “ carwow ” published a video showing the McMurtry Speirling , the car that set a new record at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed . Mat Watson has tried many cars and since he tried the Speirling , he has declared that any other car he will try in the future will seem much slower to him than the small electric one . The car, equipped with two electric motors positioned on the rear axle (one for each wheel), delivers around 1,000 HP at maximum power and with a weight of less than a  ton , its weight/power ratio is one of a kind (especially for an electric car). Entirely in carbon fiber and with a single central seat, the energy needed to be able to move it is supplied by a 60 kWh battery , capable of traveling 482 km on a single charge (in the WLTP cycle). Also, another cool feature is a fan system that sucks in air to generate around 2 tons of downforce. Exactly like the ground effect that occurs in Formula 1, a technological innovation that the Brabham BT46 “ Fan Car ” had already brought about in the 70s. Also accompanying Watson in the video was former Formula 1 driver Max Chilton . In the first acceleration test, it took the car 2.27 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) and the horsepower delivered was just 600, almost half of its true potential. Finally, the driver clocked an incredible 1.4 seconds to go up to 60 miles per hour and in the quarter mile, the car set a time of 8.35 seconds (the previous record was held by Rimac Nevera, which clocked 8.58 seconds).
