FNX Magokiler
Citroën has received the prestigious 'Green Hero' award from Electrifying.com for its Oli concept unveiled last September as a way to showcase the brand's future design direction and vision for future electric mobility. The Oli has a 40 kWh battery and a range of 400 kilometers, in addition to the innovative use of recycled and recyclable materials. It was designed to reduce weight and improve durability, being conceived as a vision of the future of electric mobility for families. Judges for the Electrifying.com 'Green Hero' award consider how each brand offers electric models and how it is working to make the production, use and disposal of its vehicles more sustainable. The judges look at factors such as carbon neutral manufacturing, reduced use of rare earth metals, and the use of recycled and recyclable materials. Other considerations include sustainable design, auditing supply chains, and making vehicle shipping and delivery more efficient. Oli shows a new design direction for Citroën and offers an innovative vision of the future of electric mobility. It was designed to challenge the status quo through the use of recyclable materials and less complicated production processes, embodying all the inventiveness and creativity that Citroën has been famous for throughout history. Using lightweight, recycled materials, Oli is designed with efficiency and sustainability in mind. Innovative use of responsible materials and a streamlined sustainable production process mean Oli is an economical, zero-emission vehicle that meets the needs of multiple lifestyles. Innovations include reducing the number of components required for the doors and seats to simplify production processes and reduce weight. Oli is also equipped with Vehicle-to-Grid capability, which means owners can sell power to the grid, as well as having parts that are 100% recyclable. Its tires are estimated to last up to 500,000 kilometers thanks to a sustainable casing and tread that can be renewed twice throughout their life. Ginny Buckley, Founder and CEO of Electrifying.com, said: “To say that OIi is the most important electric car we've seen in a decade is a big statement; But along with a host of overpriced and overpriced electric cars, Oli stands out for its approach to minimizing its environmental footprint, innovative use of recycled materials, and fresh, creative design. Many manufacturers talk about sustainability, but it's comforting to see that Citroën really puts it at the center of what it does." Vincent Cobée, Citroën Global CEO, commented: “Oli represents the next steps in Citroën's electric mobility journey, showing what is possible with the intelligent use of materials and technology. For Citroën, the future is not about ever bigger batteries, longer electric range and massive electric SUVs. Instead, we think it's time to think about how to do things differently and better. Oli is a real-world representation of this philosophy and, crucially, aligns with our core belief in vehicle accessibility and the circular economy. We are very pleased to receive this 'Green Hero' award, which recognizes the importance of this vision for the future.” https://noticias.autocosmos.cl/2022/12/16/citroen-gana-en-inglaterra-el-prestigioso-green-hero
