A transport application driver suffered a trap in Maipú, Metropolitan region.

The man was making a trip with two passengers from Providencia, to the southern commune, where they were intercepted by four unknown men who threatened them with firearms.

The incident occurred in the early hours of this Saturday, when the driver was approached by a group of individuals at the intersection of Valle La Luna and Estrella Polar streets in Maipú, while he was making a trip to that commune.

After being approached, the criminals threatened the occupants of the vehicle with firearms in order to achieve their mission.

 

 

In this regard, Captain Karina Jofré, officer of the Santiago Rinconada Prefecture Ronda indicated that "Carabineros arrives at the scene, meets with a man who indicates that he was driving for the DIDI application, was with two passengers and was intercepted by a vehicle ".

The driver was hit on the head, to take away the vehicle, while some of his belongings were stolen from the passengers. After the crime, the assailants fled the scene and so far their whereabouts are unknown.

For this reason, the officers of the Carabineros are carrying out the corresponding investigations of the case.

The information collected will be made available to the Prosecutor's Office.
