Let's see what this is about. The exterior of the Alpine Alpenglow presents many interesting aspects. In general, it is worth saying that the figure of the concept will inspire the model with which the firm will be involved in the main category of the World Endurance Championship from 2024, as indicated by the brand itself. In particular, we can highlight the following characteristics: Front LED strip that runs the entire width of the vehicle Emphasizes the aggressive character of the front Will be present on future Alpine models Lower area featuring two possible side air intakes (large) and trangular lights Fenders with good presence Sides aerodynamic lines Outlets and air intakes as great protagonists Wheels with a curious design Very low passenger compartment Behind Inspired by the Alpine A220 that raced at Le Mans in the late 1960s transparent elements Rear spoiler, aerodynamic appendages and part of the engine cover Regarding the measurements of the Alpenglow, Alpine noted the following: Length: more than 5,000 mm Width: more than 2,000 mm Height: less than 1,000 mm The materials used in the Alpenglow, in addition to allowing it to be extremely light, have the particularity that they include recycled carbon, in order to collaborate in caring for the environment. As for the interior, the Alpenglow's cabin is located between two transparent hydrogen tanks. Transparency is also present on the pedals and steering wheel paddles. Regarding the latter, it is worth saying that its design will serve as the basis for those that will be used by future Alpines. Alpine Alpenglow: Motorization About the Alpenglow's drive system, we already told you something: hydrogen. Specifically, the concept includes a combustion engine powered by hydrogen, whose pressure in the tanks is 700 bars. On the other hand, the brand did not reveal information about acceleration, final speed, weight and other technical data of the powertrain. Alpine maintains that "a hydrogen-powered engine releases virtually nothing but steam during combustion," and is therefore evaluating this type of powertrain for potential application in future street and competition models.
