The posting went viral on the networks and formal complaints were not long in coming. Yesterday, members of the City Police appeared twice to verify the situation, but the prosecutor in charge has not yet issued a search warrant to rescue the abandoned dogs inside a house in Villa Lugano, in the City of Buenos Aires. Matías De Vito lived there, a "violent man addicted to drugs who mistreated animals and people," Silvia, a neighbor, told TN. 15 days ago he was arrested for disobedience, since he had violated a perimeter order and, from that moment, the animals were left in a state of absolute abandonment. According to sources from the City Police, the dogs were indeed eating each other. But they still cannot rescue them since they need the search warrant from the prosecutor in charge. The house was closed with a padlock and with the animals inside. “Every time he was arrested, Matías's sister came in to feed them and clean. We also fed them. But this last time the police came looking for him, he put a padlock on the door so that no one could enter, ”added Silvia.
