WASHINGTON, Oct 5 (Reuters) - GM Financial, a unit of General Motors Co (GM.N), agreed to pay over $3.5 million to resolve allegations that it violated a U.S. federal law that provides certain benefits and protections to eligible service members, the Justice Department said. GM Financial was accused of violating the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act by illegally repossessing 71 servicemembers' vehicles and by improperly denying or mishandling over 1,000 vehicle lease termination requests, the Justice Department said in a statement on Wednesday.Jeep is commemorating the end of Wrangler EcoDiesel production by offering the all-new, exclusive limited-edition Jeep Wrangler Rubicon FarOut. First introduced in the 2020 model year, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon EcoDiesel was the most capable Wrangler to date, boasting an impressive 442 lb.-ft. of torque. Since its inception, Jeep has introduced the Wrangler Rubicon 392, a workhorse with 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, and the Wrangler Rubicon 4xe, which delivers 375 horsepower with its 49 MPGe and 21 miles of all-electric range. “At Jeep, we are always listening to our customers and driven to improve on our legendary 4x4 capability,” said Jim Morrison, Senior Vice President and head of Jeep brand North America. “The Wrangler Rubicon FarOut special edition is our tip of the hat to the EcoDiesel technology on Wrangler." Standard equipment on the new 2023 Jeep Wrangler FarOut edition includes: “Diesel 3.0L” hood graphic Exclusive “3.0 D” badging Unique 17-inch aluminum wheels Black leather seats with red accents Cold Weather Group Trailer-Tow and Heavy-Duty Electrical Group Safety Group LED Lighting Group Body-color fender flares Satin black grille All-weather floor mats Orders for the 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition will remain available through November 2022, with deliveries set to begin later this year.
